Building the identity

The Mood is a contemporary bakery centred around freshly made pastries, specialty coffee and small everyday treats.

The identity starts with the name itself. The two O’s become a pair of eyes, while a simple mouth shifts expression to create a character that can move between different moods.

This flexible graphic system extends across the packaging, from chocolate-brown boxes with yellow typography to yellow bags, wrapping paper and smaller branded details.

Playful without becoming childish, the identity brings personality to an otherwise minimal visual system, turning every package into part of The Mood’s world.

Defining the visual world

The creative direction builds on a simple idea: sometimes a coffee, a warm cookie or something freshly baked is enough to shift how a day feels.

Rather than presenting The Mood as a traditional bakery, we imagined it as part of an urban routine. A place to stop for coffee, pick up something on the way somewhere, bring a small box to someone or simply choose whatever matches your mood that day.

The visual language focuses on those everyday moments, balancing the warmth and imperfection of handmade pastries with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Bringing the brand into space

The Mood was imagined as a compact neighbourhood bakery where the product remains at the centre of the space.

A large storefront window keeps the interior visible from the street, while natural wood, beige surfaces and brown tiles extend the brand palette into the physical environment.

The space is intentionally simple and functional, with a small area to stay for coffee but a layout primarily designed around takeaway.

Outside, branded elements including the awning, wooden signage and illuminated character create recognisable touchpoints from the street. Inside, brown aprons and subtle graphic details connect the team, packaging and architecture into the same visual system.

The result is a space that feels warm, considered and distinctly The Mood.
